Solar PV & battery storage
Start with the meter readings
Bring the electricity bill as well as the roof measurements; a useful solar proposal needs to know when the house uses power.
Illustrative small solar PV installation of around 3 kWp on a straightforward suitable roof, including normal access provision. Battery storage is additional.

How it works
Measure the roof, check the sums
- 01
Review your electricity use and survey the roof and supply.
- 02
Explain system options, assumptions and required approvals.
- 03
Install the agreed equipment with the planned access arrangements.
- 04
Commission the system and explain monitoring and handover documents.
FAQs
What changes the saving?
Do I need a battery?
Not necessarily. Storage can change when generated electricity is used, but its value depends on your consumption, tariff and system. Compare both options before deciding.
Will solar work on my roof?
Orientation, shading, roof condition and available space all matter. A site-specific assessment is needed before recommending a system.
Will the battery keep everything on in a power cut?
Not automatically. Backup operation depends on the system design and specified equipment. Do not assume it is included in a standard solar or battery installation.
How much will I save?
There is no universal figure. A useful estimate states the generation, self-consumption, tariff and export assumptions, and explains how the result could change.
