The Northform method

Build a week that repeats.

Put time in the calendar, give each block a purpose and use the review to shape what comes next.

01

Plan the week

Start with the calendar

Put the available time on the page before filling it with ambition. Work, travel and recovery belong in the picture.

02

Give training a purpose

Know what the block is for

A planned session has a clear job. A shorter alternative keeps the idea useful when the full version does not fit.

03

Keep a useful record

Write down what happened

A simple record makes the next conversation more specific. Completed work and missed blocks both tell you something.

04

Review and adjust

Let the plan learn

The review is a chance to change the next week. It is part of the method, rather than a verdict on the person following it.

Make time visible

What fits in your week?

Choose a number of blocks and their length. The planner adds review and preparation time, then shows a sample calendar.

Make time for the review, too.

The review

A log should lead somewhere.

The useful question is what the record changes. Look at the completed blocks, then decide what the next week needs.

  • Which blocks fitted the calendar?
  • What made a block harder to complete?
  • What should change before the next week starts?
