Thé Fumé
Eau de parfum · Aromatic smoky
The cup is empty, but the room still holds its warmth. Bergamot lifts the first breath of smoky tea. Lapsang souchong settles into leather and birch tar, like a coat beside the door after a long walk through cool air.

Eau de parfum · Aromatic smoky
Thé Fumé
An aromatic smoky eau de parfum: bergamot lifts lapsang souchong above dry birch tar and soft leather.
In the imagined shop, delivery would be free over £100. Concept store: no order is placed and nothing is charged.
The story
Tea, in the last light
The tea has been poured into a small, dark cup. Steam catches the light from the window, then disappears. Outside, the pavement is wet. A leather coat hangs beside the door.
Thé Fumé begins with bergamot, a brief brightness above the cup. Lapsang souchong brings the smoke of the tea itself, dry rather than sweet. As it settles, birch tar and leather draw the scene closer: the worn arm of a chair, the edge of a notebook, the last warmth before the room cools.
There is no need for a dramatic entrance. This is a scent for the hour when conversation slows down, the lights are lowered, and somebody asks whether there is enough tea for one more cup.

The tea is clear enough that I thought of an actual cup, rather than just smoke. The bergamot keeps the opening bright before the leather arrives.

I love the small flash of bergamot at the beginning. After that it feels like black tea and an old leather chair, without becoming sweet.

The dry finish is what makes it for me. It brings to mind a coat hanging by the door after coming in from the cold.
